Since its founding in 1884, the Breitling brand has truly identified with the concept of the timepiece. Right from the start, the focus was on the development of chronographs, so that this tradition can still be found in the model series today. So it is no wonder that in 1915 the then still young and family-owned company also developed one of the first wristwatches with a chronograph function. The demand increased and so Breitling also became what it is today. Namely one of the best-known brands in the segment of Swiss luxury watches.

Breitling's serial number is engraved on the outside of the case back. These provide information about the exact year of manufacture.
